Biography:

Ms. Spooner received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University. She is currently attending Texas Woman’s University, where she will receive a Master of Arts in Music Therapy and become a practicing MT-BC. Ms. Spooner has received extensive musical training in voice and theater. Ms. Spooner is currently teaching as a private voice teacher for multiple school districts in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Professional experience:

Ms. Spooner has performed as a Lyric Soprano nationally and abroad. She was the 1st place national recipient of The NANBPWC’s Vocal Arts Competition for Emerging Artist, in 2011. She has performed with the Fort Worth Opera Chorus’s 2013 production of La Boheme, as well as in the chorus for Andrea Bocelli in Concert. Ms. Spooner has performed in such roles as: Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Madame Pompous in Too Many Sopranos, and Aline in The Sorcerer. Additional performance experience includes various scene productions as Violetta from La Traviata, Lysia from Lysistrata, Blanche from Dialogues of The Carmelites, Scott Joplin’s Treemonisha, as well as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, in which she performed at the Stefaniensaal Hall in Graz, Austria.
