Professional Experience: A former Vocalist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Laura Poley is passionate about infusing her students with an energy and love for music! She loves to use her creativity, experience and artistic talent to motivate young musicians in her community. Laura studied classical voice under world-class soprano, Linda Poetschkeat UTSA. Under Mrs. Poetschke’s mentorship, Laura gained in-depth understanding of the voice as a human instrument. More importantly, she gleaned and applied practice techniques that she emphasizes to her own students.Performing with various groups such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Chorus, the San Antonio Symphony and UT San Antonio Master Singers taught Laura so much about the commitment it takes to be successful as a performer. Today, Laura enjoys teaching vocal lessons in her newly renovated-home studio located in Addison, TX.She is accessible to students in Farmers Branch, Carrollton, North Dallas, Plano and Frisco.In addition to teaching, she is active in her church and assists with leading worship at Valley View Christian Church. Laura is committed to equipping students to develop their own style and reach their personal goals as expressive vocal artists!
